The story was published in Strange Tales of Mystery and Terror, January 1933. The narrative follows Canevin and Lord Carruth as they take an unusual short hop in the title vehicle, the Napier Limousine, to help avert a tragedy.
Arthur Henry "Sarsfield" Ward (1883 – 1959), better known as Sax Rohmer, was an English novelist. He is best remembered for his series of novels featuring the master criminal Fu Manchu. This story is taken from his Tales of Secret Egypt book.
This is a horror novel by English writer William Hope Hodgson published in 1907. It is presented as a true account, with the following opening passage: "Being an account of their Adventures in the Strange places of the Earth, after the foundering of the good ship Glen Carrig through striking upon a hidden rock in the unknown seas to the Southward. As told by John Winterstraw, Gent., to his Son James Winterstraw, in the year 1757, and by him committed very properly and legibly to manuscript."

Author - William Hope Hodgson (1877 – 1918) was an English author, who produced a large body of work, spanning several overlapping genres including horror, fantastic fiction, and science fiction. Hodgson was killed by the direct impact of an artillery shell at the Fourth Battle of Ypres in April 1918. His widow, described how Hodgson led a group of NCOs to safety under heavy fire.

Vince "Trapper" Nelson (born Vincent Natulkiewicz) was found dead on July 30th, 1968 inside his chickee, from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his stomach. He was a very interesting character, and larger than life both literally and figuratively as he measured 6'4" in height. It is the ghost of Trapper Nelson or the Tarzan of the Loxahatchee as he was also known, who is said to roam the Jonathan Dickinson State Park where he lived and established a wild life zoo which was shut down in the 1960s.
The reason for his haunting could be that he was murdered as many of the locals claimed instead of committing suicide. He could also be guarding his treasure which park rangers found in April 1984 inside a hiding place in the chimney of his home. Inside were 5,005 coins, totaling more than $1,800. The coins ranged in date from the 1890s to the 1960s. The land he owned at the time of his death was worth more than $1 million. No other treasures were ever found, so the mystery remains as to why Trapper Nelson is tied to the land he loved so much.
