The Terrible Haunting Of A French Château | M.P. Pellicer

The Chateau des Noyers du Tourneur located in Normandy, France was known to be haunted by a white lady that walked the grounds, and a werewolf that stalked the peasants in the vicinity, however between October 1867 and January 1877 the terror that made itself known had no parallel.

The chateau was built in 1835 on the site of the medieval Castle Noyers that dated back to the 14th century, and was less than a mile south of the chateau. The older structure was razed by a fire, and the de Baudre family decided to build a new home using the stones from the original one.

THE BLACK LADY OF TAMWORTH CASTLE | M.P. Pellicer

Tamworth has many ghosts that are said to be haunting it's ancient walls, but two of the most famous are the Black Lady and the White Lady.

Tamworth Castle is of Norman mote & bailey design with a shell keep. The present stone structure replaced the first timber tower surrounded by a palisade, which was built shortly after the Norman Conquest in 1066. The land of the former Saxon burgh was given to Robert de Despencer by William, and it subsequently passed through marriage into the Marmion family. Numerous additions and alterations were made to the castle by succeeding generations of owners, until the late 1890's, when Marquis Townshend decided to sell the Castle by auction.

The Children's Bones | M.P. Pellicer

Undoubtedly historic homes develop a reputation for being haunted. In some cases it's undeserved, and other times there's no doubt that something still walks the halls and paths of what once its home.

The following is an allegedly true story, told by someone who visited Wollaton Hall, (U.K.) several times:
