Music and the Devil | Halloween 2024 | Stories of the Supernatural

It's not unusual to pair rock music with the devil, especially heavy metal music. The first that come to mind are Black Sabbath, Kiss and performers like Alice Cooper who lean heavily on the imagery of the occult. Marlene and Henry explore the notorious 27 Club which is a list of actors, musicians, artist and athletes who have died at the age of 27. The majority have departed this life as a result of substance abuse, homicide and strange accidents. Many claim there is significance tied to the number of their age to Illuminati and occult groups. This is a far cry from Elvis' hip gyration that were thought be the "work of the devil". So what is truth, and what is urban legend?

Caracas has become the murder capital of the world. In the heart of this city where poverty and violence are experienced by those living there on a daily basis is a shrine. However the work has become so dangerous that for the last few years amid rumors they were disbanded is the belief that they have gone underground.

Sangomas or traditional healers are very common in the Dark Continent, especially in the area of South Africa. Sangomas or isangomas describe themselves as herbalists who prepare muti from herbs, roots and sacrificed animal parts. When the Earth is the Hungriest | M.P. Pellicer

Pachamama Raymi is celebrated on August 1, every year. This festival dates to pre-Hispanic times like the Mayan new year. She is an ancient female deity worshiped by the Mesoamericans and their descendants, even though originally the sun was the main god of the Incas.

Pachamama is made from the Quechua word "pacha" which means space, and mama for mother.

For the Aymara and the Quechua who have lived in northwestern Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru for hundreds of years the date signifies the beginning of the month when the Earth rests. This is the coldest season of the year in the southern hemisphere. This is when the earth is the hungriest.
