On October 29, 2018 renovations were being carried out in the Vatican close to the Villa Borghese. Builders were restoring a floor in the janitor's lodge. Considering the age of the buildings and the grounds, this type of work is commonplace, but not what was found which was a human skeleton.

Once the story of the discovery was leaked to the Italian press, it was inevitable the name of Emanuela Orlandi would come up.

Caracas has become the murder capital of the world. In the heart of this city where poverty and violence are experienced by those living there on a daily basis is a shrine. The altar is not populated by recognized religious statues, but by colorful cap-wearing images with brightly-colored trousers and cigarettes hanging from their mouths. It is to these dead gangsters that the desperate come to pray for protection.

The most widespread religion in Venezuela is Christianity, but the poor and vulnerable come to pray in a shrine in the heart of Caracas. It is located in Cementerio General del Sur, which dates back to 1876. It is surrounded by slums perched on hillsides overlooking the roughest part of the city.

A brutally slain couple was discovered on a roadside off Route 80 in 1979. Beyond the mystery of who killed them, is why the case remains unsolved after more than four decades.

At first blush it was believed the couple were murdered in New York, and taken across state lines to be dumped in West Paterson, New Jersey.

A Fascination with Darkness | M.P. Pellicer

What would you do if your 8-year-old daughter was inspired by the movie The Omen, and waited with bated breath for the sequel titled Damien?

The girl's name was Kim Goytia, and she lived in Sacramento, California. When The Omen premiered in 1976, viewing the film kicked off a fascination with the devil. She went on to collect several copies of the novel, based on the screenplay. Two years later, the sequel Damien was released, and she was still enthralled with the dark side. According to her mother Carol Sommers, her daughter went goth before it became a thing, dressing in black, growling like an animal, and performing satanic rituals in her room.

Cattle Mutilations: Who or What is the Culprit? | M.P. Pellicer

Reports of cattle mutilations date back for years, the latest occurred in Texas.

Ranchers in Texas are left scratching their heads after six cattle were found dead with the tongues "completely removed". Strangest of all there was no blood spilled around the carcasses.

The Madison County Sheriff's office were investigating the mutilation and death of cattle along State Highway OSR (OSR). This route is the Old San Antonio Road in east-central Texas.
