What Happened to Amy Billig? Miami 's Unsolved Mystery | M.P. Pellicer
Over 50 years ago Amy Billig, 17, was last seen hitchhiking on Main Highway in Coconut Grove, Florida. She was thumbing a ride to her father's office to get money from him, and she had plans to meet her friends later that day. Neither her father, her friends or as matter of fact anybody ever saw Amy after this moment in time.
The idea of a teenage girl jumping into a vehicle with a complete stranger seems totally alien, if not downright dangerous in today's world. However on March 5, 1974, it was a very popular way for girls in the hippy era to get around.

Death of the Divine Healer | M.P. Pellicer
His name was Francis Schlatter and in 1894 he was a shoe cobbler in Denver earning a precarious living. In the next three years his life took a dramatic turn. He became a renown healer, a hermit and ended up dying alone
June, 1897
Two American prospectors were in the foothills of the Sierra Madre on the Puertas Verdes River, when they came across a saddle on a limb in a dead tree high up in a gorge the river ran through. A bleached skeleton was lying stretched out on a blanket close to the tree, and next to it was a copper rod. Piled on the tree were saddle bags, a book, a package of letters bound by a rubber band, six suits of underwear and some blankets. There was also a canteen and a bible with the name of Francis Schlatter written inside the cover. Needles, thread, buttons and other items were found in a knothole in the tree.

Dying for Affection | M.P. Pellicer
Amy Murphy, 17, died mysteriously. Her body was found lying in the Golden Gate Park on February 2, 1900. It was in a partially secluded area, down on Hayes Street by the big eucalyptus tree that stood on the left just beyond the peacock walk. First there was a suspicion she died by her own hand, but others thought it was murder.
The gun which fired the bullet found in the girl's head mysteriously disappeared, which made the theory of "self destruction" questionable. Later it was found out she had pawned her watch in order to buy the firearm.READ THE REST: Dying for Affection | M.P. Pellicer
