Chicago's Body Snatchers | M.P. Pellicer: 

In 1875, Chicago's county hospital was located in the South Side. Even then it was considered old and rickety. The morgue was an out-house attached to the hospital. It was located apart from the main building because of the bad odor coming from it. Bodies would be stretched out on slabs awaiting burial. Only during winter months did the place not smell like a charnel house.

The Unclaimed Dead | M.P. Pellicer

Since 1896 Los Angeles County has been interring the indigent and unclaimed dead. Workers would log each name in large handwritten books. Most of them remained unnamed for years afterward, and some forever.

LOS ANGELES
Ownership of the indigent cemetery or what was known as Potter's Field passed from the City to the County of Los Angeles in 1917, and in 1924, with burial space there exhausted, the County began to cremate its indigent deceased.

The Cemetery of Fools | M.P. Pellicer

Bohnice is a district in northern Prague. It is home to a psychiatric hospital built at the beginning of the 20th century. The asylum was one of the largest in Europe. Small houses surround a large park with an Art Noveau church. However what attracts tourists and legend trippers is the cemetery that received the dead for fifty years.

The six acre parcel of land is known as the Cemetery of Fools. Like many asylums built during these years, it had its own graveyard. Patients from the hospital were buried there from 1909 to 1951. Originally it was used for the patients' children, but eventually the inmates were buried there as well.

Haunted Waikumete Cemetery | M.P. Pellicer

Waikumete Cemetery is located in Auckland. It is the largest cemetery in New Zealand, and the second largest in the southern hemisphere. It covers almost 300 acres, and has over 70,000 burials. Is it little wonder that it has a fearsome reputation as being very haunted.

It was established in 1886, and the surrounding area grew around the hilly countryside it sits on. It replaced the Symonds Street Cemetery, which was the first official cemetery in Auckland in use from 1842.

A morgue superintendent told of his times working at the St. Louis morgue. It's believed the source of the stories was Herman Praedicow (1831-1891), even though he was interviewed anonymously.
