The Ghost at the Sober Duck | M.P. Pellicer

In 1979, The Sober Duck Disco and Rock Club in Springfield, Illinois was blessed by three priests. The priests said they blessed the establishment to dispel fears that the ghost of a bartender who killed himself there in 1968, haunted the bar.



The owner Tom Blasko claimed the prayers and holy water worked like a charm. He said the "restless soul" of bartender Albert "Rudy" Cranor haunted the place where he shot himself in the chest (or head) on June 27, 1968.

They had no written language, and their art was mostly decorative, however they had a rich oral tradition. ​​Most of their history comes from other civilizations that came in contact with them. They were herders and hunters, and fearsome warriors.

In Appalachian culture a sure omen of death was something found in the pillows of those who were ill. It is a bizarre phenomenon known as feather crowns.


Different cultures have their version of premonitions of death. In Appalachia a circular crown or nest found in the pillows of those dying or recently dead are called Death Crowns. They point inward, and could only be found with feather pillows. In recent times, where pillows are made from synthetic fibers this phenomena has disappeared.

The girl's name was Kim Goytia, and she lived in Sacramento, California. When The Omen premiered in 1976, viewing the film kicked off a fascination with the devil. She went on to collect several copies of the novel, based on the screenplay. Two years later, the sequel Damien was released, and she was still enthralled with the dark side. According to her mother Carol Sommers, her daughter went goth before it became a thing, dressing in black, growling like an animal, and performing satanic rituals in her room.

Did a robber who broke into a truck parked in Denver's Central Park neighborhood realize they were making off with human remains?


In March, 2022, a medical truck used to transport body parts for medical research was considered not the usual mark for thieves. What was taken was a white carboard box measuring 20 x 15 x 18 inches marked with "Science Care" on the exterior which is the company that accepts bodies donated to science. There was another label “Exempt Human Specimen”. Inside the box were human heads.

Clark was born in Iowa in 1852. Along with his wife Mary Ann Leach née Lewis, a young widow with two young children they ended up in Linnton, Oregon, where he worked as the marshal of the small lumber town.
