Murder at the River Rouge | M.P. Pellicer
On a frigid, winter day in 1879, a burlap sack floated underneath a vessel at the Springwells dry dock. It turned out to be the burial shroud of woman who was bound and gagged.
The woman's body was well preserved by the icy waters of the Detroit River.
V. Giest & Son's Undertakers allowed the public to view the girl, hoping someone would know who she was. A description of the body, her clothing and the articles in her pockets were listed and sent to the surrounding towns, hoping to solve the mystery of her death. At one point, it was thought she was a woman known as "The Spanish Doctoress." However this woman turned up very much alive and living in Ludington.

Worth More Dead than Alive; Trafficking in Human Remains | M.P. Pellicer
Donating your body to science, doesn't guarantee that it will be used for this purpose. Instead it might become merchandise in a national network of human remains traffickers.
Not even giving your body to a university can keep it safe. On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, Cedric Lodge the morgue manager who worked at Harvard Medical School since 1995, was indicted. He is facing federal changes of selling heads, brains, skin and other body parts. These were taken from cadavers donated to Harvard Medical School for research and education. Harvard fired him on May 6, 2023.

Sacred Spaces | Interview with David Collis | Stories of the Supernatural
David Collis is an artist and author who characterizes his life as a quest driven by the romance of exploration and invention. "I traveled the world, explored sacred places, and searched religious and mystical traditions. The ‘intelligence’ of my hands built houses, furniture, cabinets, and coupled with my artistic personality created abstract art. The motto I’ve acquired: 'Life is remarkable; be ready for surprises, and nimble for the unexpected.'"

In 1979, The Sober Duck Disco and Rock Club in Springfield, Illinois was blessed by three priests. The priests said they blessed the establishment to dispel fears that the ghost of a bartender who killed himself there in 1968, haunted the bar.
The owner Tom Blasko claimed the prayers and holy water worked like a charm. He said the "restless soul" of bartender Albert "Rudy" Cranor haunted the place where he shot himself in the chest (or head) on June 27, 1968.

The Spirit of the Bartender | M.P. Pellicer
Bars, taverns, lounges or even man caves could be the places with the best memories, or perhaps the ugliest and bloodiest ones. There are spirits, and then there are Spirits; these are some of those stories.
The following is a story of a haunted bartender picture. This style of print is very common, in other words this is not tied to an original artist. Perhaps what this person experienced is what happened around this print while it hung on a wall.

The Origins of Halloween | M.P. Pellicer
The tradition of Halloween originated from a civilization that dominated Northern Europe. These people were the Celts.
Originally they lived in Central Europe, and moved westward before the advent of the Romans. They had no written language, and their art was mostly decorative, however they had a rich oral tradition. Most of their history comes from other civilizations that came in contact with them. They were herders and hunters, and fearsome warriors.
